Q1: Can you share a bit about your fitness journey and what motivated you to prioritize your health?

Shakira: Absolutely! My fitness journey started quite early in my life. As an artist, I’ve always been committed to delivering high-energy performances to my fans. To accomplish that, I realized the importance of taking care of my physical health. I believe that a strong body leads to a stronger mind, allowing me to perform at my best on stage and in my personal life.

Q2: Could you tell us about your diet and how it supports your fitness goals?

Shakira: My diet focuses on nourishing my body with wholesome and nutritious foods. I prioritize consuming a balanced mix of proteins, healthy fats, and carbohydrates. Q5: What are some of the biggest training mistakes you’ve made in your fitness journey, and what did you learn from them?

Shakira: One of my biggest mistakes was overtraining without giving my body enough time to recover. I pushed myself too hard, thinking that more exercise would yield better results. However, I learned that rest and recovery are equally important for achieving optimal fitness. I now listen to my body and incorporate rest days into my routine, allowing my muscles to repair and rebuild.

Shakira: I believe in obtaining most of my nutrients from whole foods, but I do occasionally use supplements to support my fitness goals. Additionally, I incorporate protein supplements, such as whey or plant-based protein powders, into my diet to aid muscle recovery after intense workouts.

Shakira: I advise approaching your fitness journey with patience, kindness, and self-compassion. Remember that everyone’s journey is unique, and progress takes time. Focus on making small, sustainable changes to your lifestyle, such as incorporating regular exercise and adopting a balanced diet. Surround yourself with a support system that uplifts and encourages you. Most importantly, be kind to yourself and celebrate every milestone, no matter how small.

Q8: After your divorce, how did you prioritize your mental health and overcome the challenges that came with it?

Shakira: Going through a divorce was undoubtedly a challenging time for me. To prioritize my mental health, I sought support from my loved ones and engaged in activities that brought me joy and peace. I found solace in spending time with my children, practicing mindfulness and meditation, and focusing on my music. Additionally, I sought professional help to navigate the emotional challenges. It was a process, but I learned to embrace change, find resilience within myself, and focus on personal growth.
