Megan Fox, born May 16, 1986, in Rockwood, Tennessee, is an American model and actress best known for her roles in action films, most notably the Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. She has starred in several Hollywood blockbusters and graced the covers of countless magazines such as Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, GQ, W, Maxim, and FHM, all while being a dedicated mother to three children. Megan has won several awards, including two Scream Awards and four Teen Choice Awards.
At age five, Megan began taking drama and dancing lessons, and by the time she was thirteen, she had started acting and modeling. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film industry, she made her on-screen acting debut in the 2001 romantic comedy film Holiday in the Sun, which was followed by numerous supporting and starring roles in movies and television. Her breakout role was as Mikaela Banes in the blockbuster action film Transformers (2007).
Megan Fox Workout
Megan works out at least twice a week to stay fit and healthy, constantly pushing herself to her limits. She told E: “I exercise really hard twice a week. I got my ass kicked this morning before I came here! I do bursts of cardio with really heavy weights. Circuit training.” Her workout routine is heavily focused on cardio, and even when she’s lifting weights, she keeps her heart rate elevated. Doing a combination of both cardio and weight training is the best way to increase health markers.
She engages in a lot of strength training. Depending on the role she’s preparing for, she loves bodyweight exercises and traditional resistance training to maintain toned and even build muscle. Her trainer, Harley Pasternak, told People magazine that Megan’ five-factor workout includes “a minimum five minute cardio warm-up, a lower body sculpting exercise, an upper body toning exercise, then an abdominal sculpting exercise, and finally, a five minute cool down.”
- 5–10-minute run on the treadmill
- Then four rounds of:
- Squat: 20 reps
- Push-Ups: 20 reps
- Crunches: 20 reps
- 5-minute cool down on the bike
Megan Fox Diet Plan
Megan Fox is still one of the top celebrities people look up to for body goals. The star has kept up her toned figure since landing her breakthrough role as Mikaela Banes in the hugely successful action movie Transformers in 2007. To maintain her stunning physique throughout her career, Fox has adhered to a rigorous low-carb diet and avoided eating anything processed. Her diet includes organic lean meats, fish, egg whites, nuts, seeds, fruits, and vegetables. She once told E! News: “I cut out all bread and those sort of carbohydrates. No crackers, no pretzels, no chips. Nothing unhealthy,” she said. “The worst thing I put in my body is coffee, once a day.” And when it comes to splurge foods, she always has her daydreams. “I don’t have any cheat days,” she admitted. “But if I did, it would be pizza or cake.”
She usually eats three meals with two snacks in between. Each meal is designed to help Megan feel energized and ready to tackle her days as an actress, model, and mother. She starts her day with a balanced breakfast of egg whites, almonds, and oatmeal. Megan’s favorite lunch option is grilled chicken or salmon salad. She occasionally drizzles an apple cider vinaigrette or another healthy dressing over her lunch salad. The 37 years old would have salmon for dinner if she didn’t have it for lunch. She enjoys salmon and eats it at least once a day. If she doesn’t feel like eating fish, she’ll order Japanese food or grill chicken breast. Megan has two snacks planned daily: one between breakfast and lunch and the other between lunch and dinner or after dinner. Her favorite snacks include smoothies, avocado, fruits, nuts, and chocolate.
- Breakfast: egg whites, almonds, and oatmeal.
- Snack: fruit smoothie.
- Lunch: grilled chicken with steamed vegetables.
- Snack: avocado and almond butter.
- Dinner: salad with grilled or smoked salmon.
