Dua Lipa, born 22 August 1995 in London, is an English model, songwriter, and singer. Her musical career began at 14 when she began covering songs by other artists on YouTube. Lipa has won six Brit Awards, three Grammy Awards, two MTV Europe Music Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, an American Music Award, and two Guinness World Records.
She grew up in West Hampstead, London, to Albanian parents and attended Sylvia Young Theatre School part-time before moving to Pristina with her family after Kosovo declared independence in 2008. Lipa began posting covers of her favorite songs on YouTube and SoundCloud when she was 14. She returned to London at 15 with dreams of becoming a singer. Soon after, she began modeling and signed with an agency, which helped her land a role as a “singer” in an ITV commercial for The X Factor in 2013, covering the song “Lost in Music.”
While working as a waitress in a cocktail bar in 2013, Lipa signed a contract with Tap Management, run by Ben Mawson and Ed Millett. They offered her a monthly salary in exchange for leaving her job and concentrating on music recording. She co-wrote the song “Hotter Than Hell” during one of the sessions, which led to her signing a record deal with Warner Bros Records in 2014. Emile Haynie and Andrew Wyatt produced her debut single, “New Love,” which was released in August 2015. In October 2015, her second single, “Be the One,” was released to international success, reaching number one in Belgium, Poland, and Slovakia.
She released her debut album on June 2, 2017, after several delays to add new songs. The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and yielded eight singles, including “New Rules,” which also charted at number six in the US. The album has been certified platinum in numerous countries worldwide, and Lipa won the Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act in 2018.
Her second studio album, “Future Nostalgia,” was released on March 27, 2020, and debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It topped the charts in its second week, becoming Lipa’s first UK number one album. The album would go on to top the charts for three more weeks. The BPI certified it Platinum in February 2021, after it sold over 300,000 units in the UK. Future Nostalgia was the tenth most successful album of 2020 worldwide, according to (IFPI), with 3.3 million album-equivalent units sold.
Dua Lipa Workout
Dua Lipa trains for an hour five to six times per week, alternating between weight lifting, yoga, Pilates, boxing, and spinning. She starts most mornings with a Zoom workout class led by her friend Ella Jenkin. If she isn’t in the mood, her best friend Bunny comes over to train her. Even if her schedule is hectic, she always makes time for training. She enjoys doing something quick and easy before starting her day, such as a 15-minute HIIT session with mountain climbers, air squats, push-ups, jumping jacks, jump lunge, planks, and burpees to build muscle and raise her heart rate, leaving her feeling energized and strong.
Her workouts primarily focus on toning her tum; to keep those famous abs in shape, she performs exercises such as bicycle crunches, leg raises, and planks. Boxing is more than just a way for Dua to burn calories; it’s also an excellent way to relieve stress and clear her mind. “I love boxing in my spare time. I like doing it for fitness [and] I like doing it just to kinda clear my mind. I really enjoy it. I like that it’s definitely a full-body workout. Since starting boxing, I’ve probably been in the best shape ever. It’s also a great stress reliever,” the Albanian said.
The 26 years old switches up her fitness routine regularly to stay motivated and keep her workouts interesting. “When I have a tiny bit more time on my side, I love mixing up lots of different training, finding different workouts in whatever city I’m in, whether it’s yoga, Pilates, boxing, or spinning. Whatever it is, I try to change it daily to keep things interesting,” the singer told Marie Claire.

Dua Lipa Diet Plan
As with everything else, Dua Lipa says she must have a well-balanced diet that does not restrict her from enjoying the sweet treats she craves. But she tries to limit them to days when she is less busy because eating a doughnut usually puts her in a food coma. Lipa snacks on healthy, high-protein natural foods to stay fuelled up for her workouts and on-stage performances. She is also always careful to cook for herself. This allows her to avoid eating overly processed foods high in chemicals that can lead to serious health problems over time.
The superstar usually has eggs, avocado, and fresh fruits for breakfast, followed by cashew butter and bananas before workouts. She eats a chicken salad with steamed veggies and fruit juice for lunch. Dinner will consist of fresh vegetables with fish and quinoa. In the evening, she will treat herself to something sugary. When she needs comfort food, the singer says she starts craving traditional Albanian dishes that her parents used to cook for her when she was a kid. She revealed that some of her favorite Albanian dishes are ajvar, spinach pie, and sujuk.
